Swedish outlet Fotbollskanalen today features a good interview with Manchester United winger Antony Elanga, who’s spending the international break with the national team squad.

Speaking to the player regarding the change of managers at Old Trafford this summer, they asked him about the big difference Erik ten Hag has brought to the club. The 20-year-old claimed there’s isomething new in the team.

“It has become a new system. Not all the players are quite used to it, but we have been playing well and have started to win games. We’re happy,” Elanga told Fotbollskanalen.

“If I have to say one thing, it’s attitude. Our attitude has improved a lot. We are more focused and know what to do. We play as a team.”

Clearly rated by Erik ten Hag, Elanga has made seven appearances for Manchester United this season, contributing an assist in the win over Liverpool in October. The winger, however, was not used in the match against Arsenal, which was the first one after Antony’s arrival, and that should be a strong sign that his minutes on the pitch will decrease with a new attacking player in the squad.

He was obviously asked about the Brazilian’s arrival and what it could mean for him, and clearly isn’t fazed by the added competition he’s going to face.

“It’s important to have good competition in the team. He plays on the right and I play on the left. It’s good. We are all young and we have a lot of games this year.”

Elanga was also quizzed about Manchester United’s chances of winning the Premier League, and believes it to be possible.

“It’s still early to answer, but if we continue to play as we have done and win matches then… you never know.”
