For the past couple of weeks, there’s been some apprehensiveness at Atlético Madrid ahead of their Champions League clash against Liverpool.

The reason for it is the many players who’ve been doubtful for the game, since the club have been struggling with injuries in the last fixtures they’ve played.

The Colchoneros have made their first training session of the week today, and outlet Cope comes up with the team news for the clash against Liverpool.

They say Atlético Madrid had their entire squad available, except for three players: João Félix, Hector Herrera and Kieran Trippier.

João Félix was the only of them to train in a separate field, and since he’s not fully recovered, he isn’t expected to be available for Tuesday’s game.

Hector Herrera, who has a tendon disease in the left adductor, and Kieran Trippier, who recovers from a pubis surgery, are both ruled out.

Good news for Atlético is that two of their strikers, Diego Costa and Alvaro Morata, are training normally and should be available.

The Brazilian star hasn’t played a game since November, and should play his first minutes of the year against Liverpool in hope of being back to full fitness for the return leg at Anfield.
