Aston Villa are reportedly looking to bring former Everton striker Moise Kean back to the Premier League.

Juventus signed the 23-year-old on loan from Everton in 2021 and were contractually obliged to make his stay permanent earlier this year.

He’s failed to score a goal or register an assist from 12 league games this season, which includes six starts. That hasn’t discouraged Aston Villa from setting their sights on Kean, according to Sportitalia.it.

The Villans are currently third in the table, trailing leaders Liverpool by two points. They are in the title race and are ready to please Unai Emery by signing a new attacker next month.

Aston Villa have identified the Italy international as a target and the report states they are ‘willing to try’ to sign him.

It’s claimed the ex-Everton man may consider leaving the Old Lady and the possibility of meeting Nicolò Zaniolo at Villa Park ‘intrigues’ him.

The pair have been very good friends for a long time, and that could be what is motivating this story. As we’ve explained before, Zaniolo is a huge figure in the Italian media, so every angle around him is covered.

The report says Juventus have no intention of selling Keane without an important offer and their technical director, Cristiano Giuntoli, has set a €40m asking price. In reality, he’d almost certainly be gettable for less than that.

With Aston Villa ‘willing to try’ and Juve making their demands, the report states the coming weeks could be ‘decisive’ in this case.
