Aston Villa are one of the clubs chasing RCD Mallorca’s Kang-in Lee, according to Ser Deportivos, relayed by Última Hora.
The attacking midfielder joined the La Liga side for free in 2021 and has been impressing with his performances so far.
Lee has been Mallorca’s ‘great sensation’ this season, along with Vedat Muriqi. This has seen him attract interest from other clubs, including the Villans.
Aston Villa have come forward to sign the South Korea international in the next window.
The 22-year-old has a contract until 2025 and it includes a €18m release clause. The report further claims Unai Emery’s side want him and are ‘willing to pay’ the fee quoted in the clause to bring him to Villa Park in the summer.
The report points out the former Valencia man was wanted by a few clubs in the winter market but the Spanish club refused to sanction his sale.
That’s unlikely to be the case after this season as it’s stated Lee could ‘could become one of the great transfers’ of La Liga in the summer.
West Ham are also keen.
