Borussia Mönchengladbach midfielder Florian Neuhaus is today linked to Aston Villa and West Ham United.
German newspaper Bild is bringing the information, claiming the Bundesliga side have a ‘secret plan’ for him.
Neuhaus is said to be looking for a way out of Mönchengladbach, as he hasn’t been playing and doesn’t believe he’s appreciated by their coach.
There’s a line of clubs willing to sign him, with Aston Villa and West Ham leading that.
Bild claims that other sides such as Lazio and Sevilla want the player as well, but it’s really the English track that is ‘more concrete’.
The report claims that Aston Villa and West Ham both want to fight for Champions League spots with Nehaus in their team.
Gladbach are not keen on selling the player, since his contract was recently extended, but a loan is very much an option, as they can make him happy to play elsewhere and also see him getting more experience.
To get him signed, the ‘very rich’ Premier League clubs would first need to pay for the player’s full €4m salary, and then pay a loan fee as well. So we’ll see who puts that kind of offer on the table.
