On Tuesday, several claims from Italy stated that have Juventus made progress with Aston Villa over a deal involving Douglas Luiz, Weston McKennie and Samuel Iling-Junior. It was also said the 26-year-old Brazilian’s agent, Kia Joorabchian, travelled to Italy.
Juve technical director Cristiano Giuntoli made a trip to London to hold talks with Aston Villa director Monchi.
That’s according to Tuttosport, who make it clear the talks between Giuntoli and Monchi took place in London instead of Birmingham.
They add the deal to bring Luiz to the Turin club, and both McKennie and the 20-year-old Englishman to Aston Villa, is ‘very close’, and that the operation could be ‘closed in a very short time’.
Over at Calciomercato, they say Joorabchian is in Italy and there will be a ‘decisive attack’ soon to get this deal over the line.
It’s claimed Juve will present an offer to Aston Villa that will include €18-20m plus the 25-year-old American and Iling-Junior, after reaching an agreement with Luiz for a four-year deal.
Unai Emery’s side are said to have asked for McKennie and Iling-Junior, and have started negotiations with the duo. The former Leeds United man has already given his approval, while the Villans have to agree a deal with the Englishman.
There’s optimism that Aston Villa will find an agreement with Iling-Junior as Calciomercato say the deal involving these three players is ‘getting closer and closer to closing’.
