Aston Villa and Everton are considering signing Napoli’s Jesper Lindstrøm this summer.
The forward arrived at the Serie A side from Eintracht Frankfurt in August 2023 and his game time was restricted in his debut season.
He failed to score a goal or register an assist from 587 minutes from 29 games for Napoli, but it seems that hasn’t stopped Aston Villa from including him in their target list.
That’s according to Monday’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport, who say Unai Emery’s side are ‘ready to invest’ in the 24-year-old’s services.
The Denmark international wants to train under new manager Antonio Conte before making a decision on his future. If the player were to stay, the report indicates he would be a backup for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
Should he decide to leave, Gazzetta claim it could help the Naples club raise around €30m in this window. They can use this money and invest it to sign Manchester United’s Mason Greenwood.
The Dane is liked in the Premier League by Aston Villa, as well as Everton, and these two clubs can provide him an escape route in this window.
Meanwhile, Il Mattino claim the Villans have made a request for Lindstrøm, without making it clear if they contacted his representatives, Napoli or both.
