With Youri Tielemans currently set to be a free agent from June 30th onwards, there are a number of clubs interested in the Leicester City star, including Aston Villa.
Unai Emery is currently on a mission to reshape the Birmingham based club after taking over from Steven Gerrard, and wants to continue the good form into the next season.
That’s why a player like Tielemans would go a long way, as his status in the Premier League is well known following his years at Leicester, with Corriere dello Sport bringing some new information.
Amid interest from AS Roma, Aston Villa, whose interest has been largely reported, have actually made the first move for the player, and ‘have presented an offer’ to him to sign.
The Villa Park side are one of ‘several clubs’ to have done so, which shows how competitive the market for him, and it’s made clear the fight for him is ‘very fierce’.
That’s taking into account the costs, with it said that any long contract to sign him would add €30m on the club’s books.
Not a problem for Aston Villa, by all means, but certainly one for AS Roma.
