French newspaper L’Equipe believe Aston Villa’s Jordan Ayew is one of a number of players who should be considering a move during the current transfer window. L’Equipe feel there’s no doubt, Amavi should be seeing what opportunities are out there for him, which creates an opportunity for French clubs.
Ayew is one of several former Ligue 1 players in England who L’Equipe believe could be moving, with the newspaper stating: ‘They are young, have undeniable qualities but do not have the confidence of their coaches and spend more time on the bench than on the pitch.’
That’s perhaps a little harsh with Ayew, he’s played over 1500 minutes of Championship football for Aston Villa this season. Steve Bruce was picking him before he went with Ghana to the African Cup of Nations.
Ayew has been linked with a move away from Aston Villa recently but, given he’s currently on international duty, a deal may be hard to build.
Given that he’s certainly not frozen out at Villa under Bruce, remaining for the rest of the season seems the more sensible option for Ayew.
