On Monday, Gazzetta dello Sport reported Fiorentina, Juventus and AC Milan all want to sign Aston Villa’s Nicolò Zaniolo in the summer.
Calciomercato relay that and then share their own information on who could sign the winger, and his plans for the future.
Aston Villa signed the 24-year-old from Galatasaray on loan with a conditional obligation, which they are unlikely to exercise.
The Italy international has two goals from 26 games for Aston Villa. He’s seen his game time drastically reduced this year, clocking in 62 minutes from six matches.
Zaniolo doesn’t want to miss March’s international break. He wants to play for the national team, to convince the interested parties to ‘bet on him’, and this would also improve his chances of representing Azzurri at the Euros.
These are the two missions he has, after which he wants to find a ‘new solution for the future’ in the summer.
Calciomercato say the path leading to the San Siro is complicated since his main sponsor, Paolo Maldini, is no longer at Milan. Napoli, meanwhile, are looking at other options for their attack.
Juve and Fiorentina are his ‘old suitors’ and can return for the Aston Villa man after this season. Both clubs wanted to bring in an attacker in January and will look to strengthen the same position in the summer.
A deal is only possible if Galatasaray were to accept another loan. As of now, the Italian’s future seems to be away from Aston Villa.
