Aston Villa striker Jhon Durán is fine following a car accident today, according to reports from Colombia.

Journalist Pipe Sierra shares that despite the ‘traffic confusion’ which resulted in a crash, the player did not get injured and is available for tonight’s clash against Lille.

Aston Villa will be playing the French side in the first leg of the Conference League’s quarter-finals in a few hours, and there’s been some doubts whether he’d make it .

Now Sierra claims that the decision depends ‘solely’ on manager Unai Emery.

Featuring for Aston Villa this season, Duran has six goals in 28 appearances. Even though he’s been having ups and downs for the English side, he was a starter in the 4-0 win over Ajax in the second leg of the round-of-16, having scored one of their goals in the 4-0 win.

Unai Emery should soon speak to journalists about the situation, but it now seems clear Durán will have no problems playing tonight.

Whether Emery will still consider him remains to be seen.
