Morgan Sanson’s situation at Aston Villa has not improved despite the changes that took place earlier this season.
The Villans showed the exit door to Steven Gerrard in October and announced Unai Emery as his successor.
Sanson didn’t feature under the ex-Rangers coach and made his first appearance when he came off the bench in Aston Villa’s 3-1 win over Manchester United in November. That has been his only outing this season.
Back in October, Jeunes Footeux reported RC Strasbourg want to take the former Marseille man on loan in January. A fresh report from the same website provides more information on this case.
According to Jeunes Footeux, a move away from Aston Villa is likely for Sanson in the upcoming window even if Emery ‘plans to offer a last chance’ to him.
It’s further claimed Strasbourg are not alone, as FC Nantes, Stade Brestois and FC Lorient are all ‘interested’ in the player.
Therefore, a return to France for the player is ‘clearly not to be ruled out’ in January, but the Premier League side have so far not received any offers from these interested clubs.
