Turkish media outlet Dirilis Postasi claim Galatasaray are following Aston Villa midfielder Youri Tielemans ahead of the summer transfer window.

Gala will be fighting on four fronts next season and are looking to bring in new players this summer.

According to Dirilis Postasi, the Aston Villa player is on Galatasaray’s agenda as they look to bring in a central midfielder for next season.

The Turkish champions were previously linked with the Belgium international last summer before Aston Villa got a deal done for him. Tielemans had left Leicester City when his contract expired with the Foxes, joining Villa on a free transfer.

It’s claimed Okan Buruk wants to bring in a No.8 after their talks with Barcelona’s Ilkay Gundogan stalled. Tielemans is seen as another option, but there are no reports of an offer coming in or talks taking place.

The player is currently in Germany with the Belgian national squad and any possible talks will likely have to place after the Euros.

Tielemans made 46 appearances for the Premier League side last season, scoring 3 gaols. He’s contracted to Aston Villa until June 2027.

Galatasaray tried to get Tielemans when he was available for free and failed. Trying now after he’s started to impose himself under Unai Emery is rather ambitious.
