Aston Villa will look to further bolster their squad in the summer window, after qualifying for the Champions League.
The Villans have included Juventus’ Adrien Rabiot in their target list. That’s according to Tutto Juve, who say Aston Villa are ‘thinking about’ him for next season.
Unai Emery knows the midfielder well from their time at Paris Saint-Germain.
In fact, the report says the Aston Villa boss considers the 29-year-old an ‘exemplary professional’ and would be delighted to have such a player at his disposal.
As well as Aston Villa, Manchester United and Bayern Munich are also looking at the player, and the latter two have made contact. Emery’s side, for now, are only ‘thinking about’ him.
The Frenchman’s contract expires in June and it’s not clear whether he’ll sign a new deal or join another club on a free transfer.
Rabiot favours staying at the Turin club but wants to know more about their next project, including who will replace Massimiliano Allegri, before signing an extension.
The two parties will hold negotiations in the coming days and Aston Villa may be keeping an eye on this situation.
