Jonathan Rowe’s performance against Aston Villa this week has ignited Premier League interest, including from the Villans.

Gazzetta dello Sport and Corriere di Bologna cover the 22-year-old today. It seems his display, despite Bologna’s defeat, has convinced some he’s the real deal.

Bologna crazy about him

Gazzetta report that Bologna have been crazy about Jonathan Rowe since his arrival from Marseille last summer. He’s managed seven goals and four assists in 35 games since then.

His latest impressive performance came against Aston Villa in the Europa League this week. And the newspaper says that performance ill be a ‘prelude to rumours’ now and throughout the summer.

They will be aided by the fact Rowe has admitted that one of his dreams is to play in the Premier League sooner or later. The Premier League is taking notice too.

According to the newspaper, three clubs sent scouts for the Aston Villa clash. They were also watching Santiago Castro, but Rowe stole the limelight and the headlines.

Bologna believe that they have a diamond on their hands. They value him at. They value him at €45m after paying €19.5m last summer. The Italian side have no intention of selling on the cheap.

Aston Villa are also keen

Corrieri di Bologna also report that his performance against Aston Villa has ‘awakened the Premier League transfer market’.

According to their information, via TuttoBolognaWeb, Aston Villa could be eyeing him as a replacement for Morgan Rogers.

The newspaper suggests that Rogers could join Arsenal this summer in an €80m deal. If that happened, Villa would have the resources to snap up Jonathan Rowe and stay within Financial Fair Play Rules.

They also say, though, that other English teams will be approaching Rowe this summer after his performance, Bologna have been warned. The Italian side have a fight on their hands to keep hold of their star man.
