Aston Villa have taken further ‘concrete steps’ to sign Beşiktaş forward Tammy Abraham.
The 28-year-old has been linked with a move to the Premier League side in recent weeks following reports of an offer.
He’s currently on loan from AS Roma and the Super Lig club have an obligation to make that move permanent for €13m.
Hurriyet today report on Aston Villa attempts to re-sign their former attacker and they say officials from the Birmingham club have flown over to Turkey.
The Turkish media outlet say club officials watched the Super Lig game between Kayserispor and Beşiktaş. Abraham played the 90 minutes in his side’s 1-0 victory.
Those officials are expected to meet their Beşiktaş counterparts soon and ‘submit an official offer’.
Sabah also report Aston Villa have travelled to Turkey and they add Beşiktaş want a little above €20m for their attacker.
Aston Villa officials set for transfer talks

Aston Villa’s representatives will now sit down with the Beşiktaş hierarchy to get the deal over the line. A four and a half year contract is on the table for the former Chelsea player.
During these meetings it’s expected the English club will submit another offer for Abraham. The player has also agreed to personal terms, with a salary of £4m a season after tax on the table.
Only yesterday, we covered reports from the Turkish press that Beşiktaş were keen to bring in a replacement for Abraham.
Napoli’s Romelu Lukaku has been identified by the Istanbul club. However, they’ve had to ask the Serie A side for a health report due to fitness concerns.
The 32-year-old has struggled with injuries this season and his future could be uncertain under Antonio Conte. However, the Belgium international’s entourage aren’t convinced.
Abraham spent the 2018/19 season on loan at Villa Park and impressed during his time there. He scored 26 goals in 46 games before returning to his parent club Chelsea. In 2021, he joined Jose Mourinho at Roma.
Since signing for Beşiktaş, he’s been among the goals, but didn’t find the back of the net last night.
