On November 23rd, Fichajes.net stated Aston Villa will return for Geoffrey Kondogbia in the winter market after having failed signing the Atlético Madrid player in the last window.
Having made 39 appearances in all competitions last season, the midfielder saw his game time restricted at the start of this season, due to Axel Witsel’s arrival at the club in the summer.
Kondogbia has started matches for the La Liga side since mid-October, but it has not stopped Los Rojiblancos from considering cashing in from his sale in January.
That’s at least what Fichajes.net are now reporting and name Aston Villa as his suitor.
The Villans will make another attempt for the 29-year-old after trying without success in the summer.
Despite making several new additions to their squad in the last window, Aston Villa are not 100% satisfied. They ‘want more’ and Kondogbia is identified as the target to improve the situation at Villa Park.
It’s explained Unai Emery’s side could offer close to €25m to get him out of Atlético in the next window.
Should Aston Villa send this proposal, there is a chance this deal could take shape since Atlético consider Kondogbia as one of their ‘transferable’ players.
