Aston Villa, Newcastle United and West Ham United are the sides looking at a deal for Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri this summer.
That’s according to Fichajes, who say the Premier League trio ‘have their eyes’ on the Sevilla striker ahead of the summer transfer window.
They explain that the Moroccan has been in outstanding form for Sevilla this season, scoring 19 goals in 38 games in all competitions, something which has again generated a significant increase in his market value and attracted the attention of the Premier League.
West Ham currently lead the race thanks to the impending arrival of Julen Lopetegui at the club and have identified the striker as a top target.
Lopetegui knows the player well from their time working together in Seville, indeed En-Nesyri has scored more goals under the Spaniard than any other manager in his career to date.
He is said to consider him a perfect fit for his plans at West Ham and would be keen on a deal for him this summer.
Aston Villa, meanwhile, see En-Nesyri as an ideal acquisition to strengthen their forward line, especially if they secure their participation in the Champions League next season.
The club are looking to add high-level players to Unai Emery’s squad and Aston Villa believe En-Nesyri is one such player, thus are in the race.
Newcastle, meanwhile, also see himas a valuable addition but one to help Alexander Isak rather than replace him.
While the Swedish star has been linked with a move away from Newcastle for months thanks to his performances this season, the Magpies would prefer to add En-Nesyri to their mix alongside him and bolster Eddie Howe’s options.
It all depends on getting a deal done with Sevilla but given their financial status and desperate need to bring in money, that shouldn’t be too difficult if any of the Premier League trio make their moves.
