Way back on September 9th, we covered claims from Germany which stated Aston Villa were ready to pay what Werder Bremen required for Milot Rashica.
Rashica had been heavily linked with a move away from Werder Bremen for some time and had looked likely to head to RB Leipzig, who were busy rebuilding their forward line after Timo Werner moved to Chelsea.
The two clubs were unable to find an agreement for Rashica and as such a move to Villa was seen as a realistic prospect.
Back then the potential transfer fee was put at €25m, and now it’s claimed Aston Villa’s talks to sign the player are ‘very advanced’. Those claims are coming from Max Bielefeld, who works for Sky Germany.
There’s still some details to sort out, but he believes a transfer can be concluded before the window closes on Monday evening. There’s no hint on whether it’s still €25m for the move or if Werder have come down from that requirement.
