Aston Villa striker Jhon Durán ‘has been proposed’ to AC Milan as the Italian side look to add a striker to their ranks this month.
That’s according to journalist Gianluca di Marzio, who says the youngster’s profile is ‘pleasing’ to Stefano Pioli and his team.
Di Marzio explains that the Rossoneri are on the hunt for a striker to bolster their squad in this winter window and Durán ‘is a profile that pleases’.
He’s currently at Aston Villa after joining them in January last year but has only featured in 8% of the available minutes in the Premier League this season under Unai Emery.
That’s led to consistent rumblings about his happiness at Villa Park, which in turn has led to suggestions he could be moved on this month, either temporarily or permanently.
Enter AC Milan, who Di Marzio says are on the hunt for a new striker, have been offered the chance to sign the Colombian.
They like what they’ve seen of him so they’d be open to the idea, but because he is South American, they would first have to free up a non-EU slot in their squad before they could bring him in. Who that could potentially be isn’t mentioned.
What is made clear is that the Aston Villa man is one of several options on the list that is currently being explored, so this is one that could potentially pick up pace as the month progresses is Milan can move someone on and other targets are unavailable.
