Aston Villa and Leeds United have included AZ Alkmaar’s Vangelis Pavlidis in their transfer target list.
The striker has been in fine form for the Eredivisie side this season, scoring 19 goals and registering 10 assists from 29 matches in all competitions. This has not gone unnoticed.
That’s according to Jeunes Footeux, who state the 24-year-old is ‘coveted’ by Aston Villa and Leeds for the next window.
It’s further explained Unai Emery’s side and the Whites are ‘closely following’ the striker’s performances for the Dutch club.
The Greece international has a contract until 2025 and is currently valued at €25m. The report states the figure quoted is ‘well within reach’ of Aston Villa and Leeds United.
At the moment, the two Premier League sides are only following Pavlidis closely. It will be interesting to see if either Aston Villa or Leeds will convert that interest into a concrete offer to sign him.
Jeunes Footeux have made it clear this is their original information. It needs to be seen if this claim will be backed up in the English or Dutch press.
