Aston Villa director Monchi has offered Douglas Luiz to Juventus during his ‘blitz’ to Turin, according to Friday’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Villans are ‘intent on shopping in Italy’ and have included Juve’s Weston McKennie and Matias Soulé on their list for the summer window.
McKennie’s deal lasts until 2025 and he’s far refused to sign an extension. Aston Villa like the 25-year-old American and the Serie A side are hoping to earn €15m from his sale.
Aston Villa are unlikely to make Nicolò Zaniolo’s loan stay permanent, so Monchi is looking for a winger in the market and Soulé could be an option as the Premier League side have a ‘concrete interest’ in him.
Monchi has gathered information about the 21-year-old Argentine, who will have to return to the Turin club after a loan spell at Frosinone.
Gazzetta say Juve technical director Cristiano Giuntoli is open to selling Soulé and his side will need at least €30m to part ways with him.
Meanwhile, it’s stated Luiz has decided to leave Villa Park in the next window and Monchi has offered him to the Old Lady.
The newspaper believes Aston Villa won’t be able to retain the Brazilian, who is valued at €40m. Giuntoli, for now, has made a note of the possibility of bringing the 26-year-old to Juve.
To sum the claims up, Aston Villa are keen on both McKennie and Soulé, and the duo are valued at €45m. This is €5m less than Villans’ request for Luiz, who has been offered to Juventus.
