As appears to now be traditional, João Félix has been linked with a number of clubs during the current transfer window as his latest move has failed to get him close to fulfilling that potential we all saw all those years ago.
The 25-year-old has played 20 games for Chelsea so far this season. He’s scored seven goals, although four of those came in the UEFA Conference League, and his involvement has decreased in recent weeks.
Aston Villa were linked during the summer transfer window, and it’s now claimed they’re again working on his signing. According to RMC, Aston Villa and Chelsea have ‘started discussing’ the shock move for the Portuguese attacker, a move which would be on a loan basis.
Chelsea paid Atletico Madrid around €50m in the summer, but João Félix could be leaving before he’s even completed a season as a permanent player with them.
Along with Aston Villa, other clubs are also credited with interest but those sides aren’t named.
So, according to RMC, Aston Villa and Chelsea are discussing a late loan move for João Félix, with a week of the window left.
