Aston Villa signed Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio in the winter transfer window and both moves are paying off, but there is now an indication that Unai Emery’s side could have ended up with another talented star and may still swoop for him.

Calciomercato have reported today that Juventus’ Kenan Yildiz has been a target for Aston Villa in January.

They have ‘come forward’ for the signing of the 19-year-old, who has six goals and four assists in all competitions for the Italian giants this season.

The teenager’s situation at Juventus is far from secure and as of now, the Bianconeri would be happy to earn a fee of €75m to €80m to sell the talented star if they don’t qualify for the Champions League.

This can hand Aston Villa a viable opportunity, with Jorge Mendes currently helping Yildiz find a potential new destination.

The super-agent has already spoken to the forward’s family and with Juve. He has intentions of thrashing out a profitable deal and the report believes that the Birmingham club could face competition from other Premier League sides too.

Whether Aston Villa would want to pay so much is highly questionable, and the same likely goes for other interested parties. Juventus would have to drop that asking price and may be forced to do so if they miss out on the Champions League.
