Aston Villa eyeing up big move for forward on transfer market – Very tough first task for new DoF

With Monchi about to arrive at Aston Villa, it’d be absolutely no surprise if one of his first signings was a player from La Liga.

That could be Atlético Madrid star João Félix, according to TuttoMercatoWeb.

The Italian outlet today features a story claiming that Aston Villa are ‘thinking’ about signing the player this summer.

Félix has just returned from his loan at Chelsea, and with Atletico not willing to keep him at the club, they’re looking for a new departure.

TuttoMercatoWeb does a job recalling the big deals the player was involved in. The Colchoneros signed him from Benfica in 2019 for €127m, and Chelsea spent €11m to have him on loan in January.

It’s still warned that the demand ‘should be very high’, but that wouldn’t be such a problem for Aston Villa, who ‘will have important economic resources’ in the summer window.

The truth is that there’s no price mentioned for now. And with Monchi still sorting his arrival in England, it should take a little longer until he starts working his magic at the Premier League side.
