Enzo Boyomo was linked with Aston Villa in the winter market, but they didn’t make a firm approach.
The CA Osasuna player is back on the Villans’ agenda for this summer. Earlier this month, Africa Foot reported Crystal Palace could battle with Aston Villa for the centre-back.
Monday edition of Noticias de Navarra, a newspaper local to the La Liga side, covers Aston Villa interest in Boyomo.
He joined the Spanish club from Real Valladolid towards the end of last summer and was a regular in his debut season. The defender played 3,258 minutes from 37 games and his performances haven’t gone unnoticed.
The newspaper states Aston Villa, Como and Galatasaray have all expressed interest in the 23-year-old. They have done this directly with Osasuna, who have told the clubs; ‘clause or nothing’.
In short, the Spanish club will sell the Cameroon international only if his €25m release clause is activated.
This has forced his suitors, which includes Unai Emery’s side, to put pressure on Osasuna so that they can negotiate different terms to sign him. Boyomo isn’t keen on helping to pile that pressure on.
