It now looks just like a matter of time until Internacional announce the signing of Aston Villa striker Wesley Moraes.

The Brazilian media is today full of reports which take the 24-year-old’s arrival as pretty much done, as he’s expected to join the Colorado on a loan deal in the coming days.

Journalist JB Filho is one of those who bring details on the move. He claims that even though the transfer isn’t official yet, the clubs and player already have an agreement, and it’s just a matter of ‘exchanging documents’.

It’s said that Internacional can’t afford 100% of the striker’s salary, so Aston Villa will continue to pay the ‘bigger part’ of his wages during his one-year loan spell.

Wesley had spoken to Globo Esporte at the weekend and confirmed his wish to play in Brazil, claiming he’s looking for new chances with the national team.

“I hope to live up to what I can give. If I confirm my move to Internacional, the chances of playing in the World Cup are great, a dream of every athlete.”

The striker had been loaned to Belgian side Club Brugge in the summer, but couldn’t get the expected playing time there, having six appearances with no goals scored. Now Aston Villa want him to recover his form somewhere else.
