Last week, we covered claims from Italy that Newcastle United are one of the clubs in the picture to sign Federico Chiesa. Aston Villa and two other clubs have joined the Magpies in the chase for the Juventus player.
The 26-year-old’s deal lasts until 2025 and it’s not yet clear as to where he will play next season. There has been no sign of renewing the contract with the Serie A side and his situation has seen a few clubs take notice.
This includes Newcastle, Aston Villa, Napoli and Bayern Munich, according to Tutto Juve.
These four clubs have apparently set their sights on the attacking midfielder and they have ‘started to move their pawns with the intention’ of securing his services. The report further adds that Juve are requesting at least €35m for the Italy international.
Aston Villa are negotiating with Juve to sell Douglas Luiz, and sign Weston McKennie and Samuel Iling-Junior as part of the deal. This may help them out in terms of contact.
The Italian finished the recently concluded season with 10 goals and three assists from 37 matches.
