A week ago, we covered claims from Germany that Aston Villa and Chelsea are keen on signing Maximilian Beier.
It was also said he’s leaving TSG Hoffenheim this summer and the Premier League is the ‘hot destination’ for him.
Sky Deutschland back up Villa and Chelsea interest in him and add that they have taken further steps to sign the 21-year-old.
It’s claimed the Bundesliga side have received ‘concrete written enquires’ from both Aston Villa and Chelsea for the forward.
In addition to the Premier League duo, Hoffenheim have also received approaches from two unnamed foreign clubs, while Bayer Leverkusen are still in the picture to acquire the Germany international’s signature.
Sky Deutschland’s headline says ‘concrete offers’, but within the report, it’s mentioned Unai Emery’s side and the Blues have made written enquires. At this moment in time, Aston Villa or Chelsea haven’t held negotiations or agreed a deal with the German club so far.
Beier’s deal lasts until 2027 and the report says it includes a €30m release clause. The ‘tendency’ is for him to leave Hoffenheim in the near future, probably in this window.
He managed 16 goals and three assists from 35 games last season.
