With all the links suggesting that Arsenal are interested in Yeremy Pino, it’s clear that Mikel Arteta wants a winger.
The diminutive Spaniard isn’t the only player the Gunners are looking at, however, as Bayer Leverkusen’s Moussa Diaby is also on their list.
The rumours have been floating around for a few days, and But! Football Club bring the latest on the situation, starting by explaining that Mikel Arteta ‘strongly likes’ the Frenchman.
‘Officially’, the Bayer star ‘isn’t for sale’, but there are ‘whispers that an offer of €70m could be enough to win the prize’.
However, it’s made clear that Arsenal ‘don’t necessarily have the intention of spending such a sum’, but ‘an offensive is still in the pipeline’.
That means the Gunners are prepared to try and negotiate with their Bundesliga counterparts for a player who has been previously linked with a move to Newcastle United.
While the Magpies do have some money, they don’t have any European football on offer, which could certainly help Arsenal in the long run.
