Kevin Ciubotaru underwent trails at various Premier League clubs in recent weeks and the list includes Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Watford, according to Mondo Primavera.

It’s claimed all four aforementioned clubs ‘showed interest’ in signing the young left-back.

However, the two north London clubs, along with the Europa League winners and the Hornets faced ‘problems related to recruitment’, with the suggestion being it’s work permit related.

There’s no detailed explanation as to what problems Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea and Watford faced to sign the 16-year-old Romanian, but it looks like he won’t be joining any of these English sides, if the report is to be believed.

Luckily for the teenager, Parma have decided to take him on trial and he will train with the Italian club’s U16 side.

Austrian side Rapid Vienna released Ciubotaru from their academy after the end of last season and there’s no clear information as to where he is plying his trade now.

Last summer’s reports from Romania suggests he is currently with a London based football academy called Ava FC. There’s no clarity whether or not the Romania U16 international is still with Ava FC.
