For the past few weeks, reports coming out of Italy have stressed Arsenal’s desire to make an offer to sign Dušan Vlahović in the winter market.

On Wednesday, La Nazione stated the Gunners will ‘soon knock’ on Fiorentina’s door with a ‘concrete offer’ for the striker.

The north London club are keen to sign the 21-year-old, who confirmed his decision to not renew his contract with the Serie A side. His current deal expires in 2023.

La Repubblica now claim the Premier League side have ‘long been in contact’ with La Viola and have ‘offered’ €65m plus bonuses to Rocco Commisso, to secure the services of the Serbia international.

It’s explained Mikel Arteta’s side have a five-year contract, worth €10m per season, ready for the player. Vlahović now reflects on Arsenal’s offer, since his desire is to play for a top club, who will feature in the Champions League every year.

Arsenal are ‘waiting for a response’ from the frontman and will ‘wait a few more days’ for the answer, before they decide to move to other targets. The Serie A side, meanwhile, are looking at options, if the Serbian decides to leave them this month.

It’ll be interesting to see whether the English club can convince Vlahović to move to the Emirates in January.
