Last week, there were some doubts whether Porto would have Mehdi Taremi available for the Champions League clash against Arsenal.
Due to injury struggles, he hadn’t taken part in their last few league games, and wasn’t even called up for last weekend’s match against Portimonense.
Now as Porto’s squad are flying to London to play Arsenal, O Jogo reports that Taremi is in the group.
The outlet obviously lists all the players who took part in the trip, and highlights the ‘major return’ of the Iranian star, who’s an important piece of the Dragons’ attack.
Taremi may not be having his best season, with six goals and four assists so far, but has shown a lot at Porto in the past few years. He’s been linked with moves across various windows and is finally expected to leave in the summer, if Porto can’t secure a renewal.
Porto managed to beat Arsenal 1-0 with a late winner at the Estádio do Dragão, and Taremi wasn’t available for that match. Now it’s up to the Gunners to show their home strength at the Emirates tomorrow night.
