Napoli continue to face a hard time in their attempts at least one Arsenal player this month, according to reports from Italy.
The latest updates on this chase were today brought by journalist Ciro Venerato, whose quotes on RAI are highlighted by Area Napoli.
The pundit had news about many transfers the Serie A side have been working on, and Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior and Takehiro Tomiyasu are two of them.
According to Venerato, Napoli made attempts to get the duo signed, and failed in their mission.
“Last night too, Arsenal reiterated their no for Kiwior and (above all) Tomiyasu, the true passion of the Campania management.”
It now remains to be seen whether Napoli will make a new attempt to get the players, as perhaps a little more money on the table would convince the Gunners to let one of them go.
The pursuit of Kiwior will also see Napoli face competition from Italian clubs, as AC Milan had been heavily linked to the defender lately.
Tomiyasu, however, has 20 appearances for Arsenal this season, despite his recent injury, and it seems it would take a little more work from the Italisn to strike a deal with the Gunners for a January transfer.
