It seems Arsenal may hijack Lazio’s advanced negotiations to sign Djibril Sow from Eintracht Frankfurt.
The information is brought by CalcioMercato.it, who today write about the undefined situation the player is currently living.
The outlet had already reported that Lazio had found a full deal for the move. They had an agreement with Frankfurt for €15m plus bonuses, and Sow had also given the green light.
Now according to their own information, Arsenal are trying to ‘aggressively enter the negotiation’ to get the player.
Lazio aren’t giving up, with new contacts with Frankfurt taking place. President Claudio Lotito is expected to hold a summit with manager Maurizio Sarri, and they’ll take a decision on how to proceed.
The report doesn’t make it clear whether Arsenal would be ready to outbid the Serie A side in the race, although it sounds like a price which the Gunners could easily match and surpass.
Besides the Gunners and Lazio, Sevilla are also said to be interested in the player. That’s a potential auction which can only be good for Frankfurt.
