Marca have an interesting feature in their Friday edition on Steve McManaman and Ivan Campo being invited to Mallorca to give their opinion on how the club is heading.
The Spanish newspaper explain that whilst McManaman is a pundit for British TV, his permanent residence is in Mallorca, and so the club were keen to pick his brains.
The former players attended a training session this week, and were very interested in Julio Pleguezuelo, recently arrived from Arsenal on loan.
Marca say Campo was very impressed with the deal, and explained: “I think it’s a good option in the market, and here comes an Arsenal player with the approval of Wenger. He has very good ball skills, and is very fast.”
Things are said to be on the up at Mallorca, and Pleguezuelo seems to have joined at just the right time. There’s absolutely a keenness in Mallorca that the youngster does well, and the Wenger seal of approval only helps.
