According to Greek website Sportime, Arsenal are tracking Olympiacos’ 23 year old attacker Daniel Podence.
The Portuguese player has been key for the club since his move from Sporting Lisbon in 2018 and the Greek media report he’s now a target for Arsenal, along with another unnamed Premier League club.
It’s reported Olympiacos is seen as a ‘stepping stone’ for the forward and the Greek club could allow him to leave him if Arsenal agree to pay their asking price, which is said to be €25m.
Along with the Gunners, La Liga club Sevilla are also keeping tabs on Podence and Sportime report he could find himself getting a move to a top club because he’s a client of super agent Jorge Mendes.
Last year Olympiacos paid €4.5m to Sporting Lisbon and he’s under contract at the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium until June 2023.
This season Podence has played 14 games for Olympiacos, scoring two goals.
