There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund have tabled offers for Fenerbahce defender Ferdi Kadıoğlu.
Both clubs have been linked with the Turkey international in recent weeks after he impressed at Euro 2024.
Nutuk.tr today claim Arsenal, along with Dortmund, have made an offer in the region of €20m to sign the 24-year-old this summer, but these bids have been rejected by Fenerbahce. Due to the widespread interest in Kadıoğlu, the Super Lig side are looking for bids in the region of €35m.
The Turkish media outlet say the Fenerbahce hierarchy aren’t keen to sell the left back under their €35m asking price, which would be a transfer record for a player being purchased from the Super Lig. There are no reports whether Arsenal or Dortmund will come in with improved offers.
There have been previous reports of interest for the player with West Ham United, Manchester United, Brighton & Hove Albion and Newcastle United all said to be following him.
Kadıoğlu made 41 appearances for Fenerbahce last season, scoring 3 goals. He’s contracted to the Yellow Canaries until June 2026.
