Former Lazio star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic seems far from forgotten in Saudi Arabia.
Even though the midfielder joined Al-Hilal on a €40m move last summer, he’s already linked to a transfer back to Europe, where Arsenal are said to be one of the suitors.
This information comes from Italy, where outlet TuttoJuve talks about Juventus’ interest in Milinkovic-Savic.
The outlet today highlights that the Old Lady are not alone in the race for the midfielder, as there’s this ‘strong interest’ from Arsenal as well.
The situation seems to be in very early stages, with the report claiming that the transfer formula ‘remains to be understood’, mostly because of how much he was bought for.
The report makes it sound like Arsenal could have an advantage over Juventus, as it’s claimed the Gunners can ‘put up a better offer’ than the Old Lady.
It now remains to be seen whether that’s an idea that can be executed before the end of the winter window, or if clubs will wait until the summer to act.
Since joining Al-Hilal, Milinkovic-Savic has nine goals and five assists in 22 appearances, despite being a central midfielder, showing just how complete he is.
