Some days ago, we covered comments from Adrien Rabiot’s mother Veronique, who is also his agent. She spoke to Gazzetta dello Sport, and in the same article as the interview, the newspaper presented Arsenal as one of the likeliest destinations.
Veronique Rabiot said in the interview that she’s speaking to several clubs, and then criticised the media for reporting false links. Given she was speaking to Gazzetta and they report Arsenal in the same article, it felt like it was possibly inside information.
The report from the pink journal also stated Rabiot prioritised moving to a Champions League club.
TuttoJuve report today that Arsenal have now shown ‘significant interest’ in the midfielder.
They believe that Rabiot would add a fair bit of experience and stability to the side and they can offer the Champions League football that Rabiot would like.
There is also a mention of interest from Real Madrid and Liverpool. But the fact that the interest from Arsenal is spoken of after Veronique’s interview suggests that there might be something concrete in these links after all.
