Eintracht Frankfurt are in contention to qualify for the Champions League as they are fourth in the table and four points ahead of fifth placed Borussia Dortmund.

Evan N’Dicka has been one of the key players in his side’s push for the European football and his performances have caught Arsenal’s attention.

On March 16th, we relayed news from Germany covering the north London club’s interest in the centre-back. The Gunners were told the 21-year-old will ‘certainly not be cheap’.

Eintracht Frankfurt will take on Dortmund later this weekend and a victory over BVB will put them in a firm position to seal a berth in Europe’s elite club competition next season.

Bild state a win against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday will make N’Dicka ‘become even more interesting for top clubs abroad’.

Only Arsenal are mentioned as its claimed Mikel Arteta’s side ‘show interest’ in the Frenchman. The report’s headline asks whether it will be ‘Arsenal or Eintracht’ for N’Dicka after this campaign.

The defender has a contract until 2023 and the German club remain hopeful of retaining their defender beyond this season.

“He is a clever boy and I think he can assess what he has at Eintracht. He has a regular place with us. Here he enjoys the confidence of the coach. And his contract would also be well remunerated,” Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Bruno Hübner said.

“Evan is still very young. Frankfurt is his first stop. He still has time to develop. It would be extremely important for the status. Eintracht would automatically be a Champions League club – that stays in people’s heads and would also help Eintracht enormously in the years to come.”
