It seems Arsenal are about to miss out on the signing of Pedrinho from Corinthians.
Fresh reports from Brazil claim the black and white club ‘should’ accept a bid from Zenit for the youngster.
According to UOL, the Russian side ‘signalled’ with an offer worth €12m, and in case that’s made official, Corinthians are expected to accept it.
This report doesn’t specifically name Arsenal, and only put Zenit as a contender to sign the 17-year-old this summer.
In the past couple of months, reports from multiple sources in Brazil claimed the youngster could be on his way to the Gunners.
The latest and probably most strong claim about that move was made by Goal, who claimed that Arsenal chief Edu Gaspar held a meeting with Corinthians president Duilio Monteiro Alves to talk about the potential transfer.
At the time, it was claimed the Gunners were interested in making an offer. Now with Zenit looking so close to getting the transfer done, it seems there’s little time for the London side to react and try a shot for the deal.
