Towards the end of December, reports coming out of Italy stated Arsenal have rekindled their interest in Dušan Vlahović for the winter market.
The striker snubbed the Gunners to join Juventus from Fiorentina in January 2022 and a year later, he was back on their agenda.
Arsenal weren’t able to seal the deal for the 23-year-old last month and ended up bolstering their attack by signing Leandro Trossard from Brighton & Hove Albion.
Earlier this month, journalist Niccolò Ceccarini stated Mikel Arteta’s side will return for the Serbia international after this season.
La Stampa, relayed by TuttoMercatoWeb, now backs it up as they state the north London club would always have their sights on the frontman for the summer.
Over at Corriere dello Sport, they state Arsenal ‘seriously thought about’ the ex-Fiorentina star in January.
Vlahović was also on the agenda of other clubs but for one reason or another, no deal took shape in the last window.
Arsenal continue to show interest in the player, who is valued around €90m.
Juve could sell him in the summer, and they have identified Atalanta’s Rasmus Højlund as the target to replace the Serbian.
