Arsenal are reportedly about to cash in with the sale of a centre-back.

That’s Pablo Mari, who had been loaned to Italian side Monza at the start of the season.

As reported by CalcioMercato.it, the Serie A side won the battle against relegation at the weekend, now standing safe with five fixtures to go.

That means they’re now meeting all requirements to buy Mari from Arsenal, and that transfer should soon be made official.

Back in March, we had seen reports from Spain claiming the defender had reached one of the two goals, which was to take part in 50% of Monza’s matches this season.

Now the escape from relegation was the only condition left for the clause to be triggered, and the Italian club are about to pay Arsenal €6m for his signing.

Pablo Mari joined Arsenal in a move from Flamengo back in 2020, and made a total of 22 appearances for the Gunners.

He had been loaned to Udinese last season, and then joined Monza, where he’s doing fine with 26 appearances so far.

Now he’s ready to complete his permanent exit.
