Over the past few days, various reports coming out of Italy have pushed forward Arsenal as one of the clubs interested in signing Fiorentina’s Dušan Vlahović.

The striker’s scoring record and decision to not renew his contract has attracted interest from clubs across Europe.

Juventus are the main suitor from Serie A, but Sky Italia say it will be ‘impossible’ for them to buy the 21-year-old in the winter market due to La Viola’s high demands of €80m.

When it comes to the Gunners, it is a ‘different case’. That’s because they are ready to ‘make efforts immediately’ and are willing meet the fee requested by the Italian side.

The north London club have ‘already entered into negotiations’ with Fiorentina for the transfer of the Serbia international.

Having held positive talks with Fiorentina, Arsenal now want to present their project to Vlahović, but ‘do not find the openings from the player’s agents’.

Mikel Arteta’s side are failing to ‘make contact’ with his entourage, which could be a sign the attacker, at the moment, is not considering Arsenal as an option.

Fiorentina, for their part, are keen to find a solution ‘as soon as possible’, preferably in January. However, if they don’t receive a convincing offer, the Serbian will stay at the club until the end of the current season.

Arsenal have had ‘positive negotiations’ with Fiorentina and must now work on convincing Vlahović, if they are to secure his services.
