Arsenal have ‘reached out’ to Julian Draxler ahead of a possible move for the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder this summer.
That’s according to Fussball Transfers, who say Draxler’s time at the French champions should come to an end this summer.
The German has been in Paris since 2017 after making a £32.4m move from Wolfsburg in the January transfer market.
He’s gone on to make 137 appearances for the club in all competitions, winning no fewer than eight trophies, including three straight Ligue 1 titles.
His contract at the club is expiring next summer and, with no sign of a new deal, FT says it is looking likely he will leave this summer.
His agents have already been working on finding him a new club, but RB Leipzig did not bite, and the player turned down a move to AC Milan in January.
A market remains for him, though, and among those interested are Arsenal, who have already reached out for ‘information’ about the player.
It’s not the first time they’ve been linked with Draxler, having also been named among his suitors on several occasions in the past few years.
Their interest in him is well established and doesn’t appear to have diminished, with Mikel Arteta potentially eyeing up a bargain move as he looks to reinvigorate his Arsenal squad.
