It seems Fluminense are confident they’ll sign Marquinhos from Arsenal in the coming weeks.
Even though the Brazilian media has been reporting the negotiations for the winger to move to Rio de Janeiro on a loan deal, that’s still to get confirmed by the clubs.
Now, according to Trivela, Fluminense are actually waiting for Marquinhos to have his medicals with the club soon.
The Arsenal player is currently taking part in the pre-Olympic tournament, and it’s said the Tricolor are just holding for the end of the tournament to carry out his examinations before confirming the deal.
Brazil are not having a great time in the competition, as they are at a risk of missing out on the Olympics this year, so Marquinhos will undoubtedly be completely focused on that before sorting his transfer to Fluminense.
The player had spent the last six months on loan at Nantes, and since he was playing little there, he was brought back by Arsenal.
We shall see the conditions of this loan with the Brazilian club, but it’s very likely he’ll stay there at least until the end of the calendar year.
