Earlier on Wednesday, we covered an article from the Italian media claiming Pablo Mari was set to undergo a medical today ahead of a move to Monza.

The Serie A side were reported to have secured the Arsenal player’s services on loan with a clause to buy him for €5m made obligatory if they were to stay up.

Well, there’s now a video, courtesy of TuttoMercatoWeb, of the Gunners man arriving for his medical check up with the Italian side.

The 28-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Udinese on loan, where he managed to impress enough to catch the attention of a number of clubs.

Far from being an option at Arsenal, it was clear he would need to find himself a new club this summer, and Monza are the ones willing to take the gamble.

After all, if he helps them avoid relegation back down to Serie B, it will have certainly been worth it, and €5m might end up being peanuts if he shows the same level of performances as he did at Udinese.

That’s certainly what Arsenal will be hoping for, as they seek to recuperate some of the overall £12m+ investment on the player, which started with a paid loan from Flamengo back in January 2020.
