Over the past few weeks, there have been recurring reports in Italy that Milan are interested in signing Shkodran Mustafi from Arsenal.
The Germany international has had a very mixed season under Unai Emery, which has led to many outlets believing the Spanish manager is interested in signing a new centre-back, and the belief is the 27-year-old could be the main casualty.
However, in an interview with Kicker in his home country, the former Valencia defender has made it clear he currently isn’t interested in moving from Arsenal.
He said of the rumours: “I don’t know where they are coming from. It’s funny, I’ve been here almost three years and even after half a year, it was speculated I would change clubs soon.”
With a contract keeping him at the Emirates until 2021, Mustafi expects to fulfil his commitment to the Premier League side.
However, if there was any chance he could leave Arsenal, he made it clear he would ‘announce it and not sneak away’.
Over the course of the 2018-19 season, the centre-back started 82% of Premier League games, featuring 40 times in all competitions, scoring three goals along the way.
