Arsenal offering player a €3.5m salary per year – Figures are after tax

Even though the recent reports from Italy have been claiming that Arsenal are in lead for Bologna star Riccardo Calafiori, it seems the Gunners should still worry about the competition from Chelsea.

It’s claimed that since Juventus can’t afford Calafiori’s signing, it’s really Arsenal and Chelsea who stand as the main contenders to land him.

The Gunners are said to be in negotiations with the player’s entourage, and have already shown they can offer him a salary worth between €3m and €3.5m a year. That will be after tax, as it’s the way football salaries are reported in Italy.

Arsenal, however, must ‘be careful’ about the competition from Chelsea. It’s said the Blues are ready to ‘enter the game’ later in the transfer window.
